Extra sangsues

Interprété par Tom Atkins, le pétillant détective Cameron assure du début à la fin ! Le film ne manque pas d’humour, en particulier au moment d’arriver à sa conclusion spectaculaire. Et sa capacité à nous divertir nous permet de fermer les yeux sur ses évidentes faiblesses, à savoir la rigidité de ses acteurs et son incroyable niveau de « béitude ». Cela dit, pour les fans de séries B, ce film peut se révéler une petite perle, y compris dans ses travers. (29/05/2018)

This film is the exact reason why I don’t agree with those that constantly repeat the “axiom” that modern horror is worthless and that things were better in the 80s… Bullshit on top of bullshit; time and the memories of the old days are very powerful. If someone made something like this today (in every aspect with regards to quality), everybody would ignore it. (27/06/2012)

In this mishmash of 50s monster horror and 80s teen comedies, Fred Dekker makes it very clear from start to finish how big a fan of B-grade sci-fi horror he is. But rather than playing more with genre conventions, he just piles one film reference on top of another, and sometimes it's too much (every other character here is named after a horror director, etc.). For fans of horror films of the time, though, it's a nice throwback. (19/07/2018)
