Résumés(1)

In a medical facility, seven teenagers who have constant nightmares about child murderer Freddy Krueger undergo monitoring for sleep disorders. But nothing that anyone does seems to help them -- until Nancy Thompson, the heroine of the first movie, joins the medical staff. She suggests that they try a new drug, which inhibits dreaming, on the youngsters. The gullible doctor-in-charge opposes this treatment, forcing Nancy to fight both him and a suspicious nurse in order to save the teens. Meanwhile, Freddy gleefully unleashes one horror-filled image after another to traumatize the patients ... till they fear that this is one nightmare they'll never wake up from again. français Les Griffes du cauchemar est assurément l’un des meilleurs volets de la série Freddy. ()

anglais Now that was a B movie as it should be. Action, blood, pretty babes (Patricia Arquette hmmm), likable characters, and even the boobs are there. After the awful second one, this is often lined up next to Hellraiser 2 and it serves its purpose – to entertain. ()

anglais One perverted fun bloody idea alternates another, Freddy is incalculable, the main teen protagonists sympathetic, the special effects sensational, and the viewer isn't bored for even a second. It's less horror and more fantasy, but I remembered most of the scenes from this film well even after some fifteen or more years since the last time I saw it. ()

anglais Very good episode, great in fact when compared with the awful second one. The story goes back to the first part, the creators did away with the dodgy portrayal of the psychology of the main characters and focused mainly on the dream sequences. And it was worthy, I wouldn’t hesitate to say that in this sense Dream Warriors is at least comparable with the first film. Where it falls short is in terms of atmosphere and fear, which is the main reason I can’t give it a full rating. I also didn’t like much the skeleton at the end, too much fantasy, which is really not my kind of thing. In any case, Freddy and his wisecracks pull it to four stars without a problem. ()
