Voici l’histoire véridique du Chat, du Mythe, de la Légende et… des Bottes ! anglais Puss in Boots is mostly a brisk, sometimes humorous flick that doesn't lack for action and borrows its story line from the classic Jack and the Beanstalk alongside the Shrek universe. Compared to the first Shrek, it is not that original, but on the other hand, it does not bore or offend. It's a story about friendship, the search for truth, revenge and forgiveness - in animated form, with Mexican music. Plus point for the non-flat character of Humpty Alexander Dumpty. All in all, a slightly above-average piece, which certainly had its flaws, but still the plot flew by and I was entertained while watching it. ()

anglais It could be expected that it wouldn't be a new "Shrek," as even the new "Shrek" is no longer such a classic as before. So "Puss in Boots" actually didn't disappoint, because expectations were relatively low. I'm glad that the animators didn't use Puss's gaze too much, in fact, he only used it once, except when he was still a kitten and had it all the time. "Puss in Boots" is not at all surprising, it is based on fairy tales, specifically on one fairy tale, which is "Jack and the Beanstalk." A classic that even our children know. The story was approached a bit differently, a bit harshly, love was added to it - Puss finds his chosen one - there is also a villain who pretends to be a good guy, only to become one in the end, there is some betrayal from youth, well, just something completely normal that tries to ignite a strong story. Sometimes it's cute, sometimes it's quite funny. Ultimately, it's slightly above average. More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/05/kocour-v-botach-jedna-hodne-blba-svatba.html ()

anglais A great bit of silliness - the last two Shreks are forgiven. Puss in Boots is a very funny, engaging, unexpectedly thrillingly action-packed, brilliantly animated... And I don't know what else. The only issue is the character of the talking egg, Humpty Dumpty, who didn't fit the story very well (I think that if the writers had rewritten the egg into a third pussy, it wouldn't have spoiled anything at all). anglais I like cats, so I just can’t rate this worse than this. Not to mention the fact that this animated movie is really quite well-done. The ideas, the temperament of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek and even the story itself? You won’t get to see those things just in every other animated movie released nowadays. ()
