anglais This show is the second Netflix television series adaptation of a comic book by writer Mark Millar, being a spin-off of Jupiter's Legacy and set in the same world (Some of the main protagonists appear in this show, including The Utopian), but once again it is not a great show... Again, nobody's messing about with it. It is pleasingly rough, gritty and raw in places, even though concerning the narrative, I find it similarly lackluster and a little confused and silly at times. I thought that most of the twists were not really that surprising. I did not feel it emotionally speaking; it did not, therefore, leave a particularly strong impression on me. I felt like I could not start rooting for the main protagonists until about the beginning of the last heist, which did not feel half as interesting or thoughtful as I had expected or wished for as a conclusion. At times, some of the dialogues and scenes that were meant to be powerful struck me as odd at the time. They were even a little jarring to my ears. I originally wanted to see something like Ocean's Eleven. The last few episodes kind of fulfilled that. I actually think I liked the overall relationship building and the attempt to portray the environment this show is set in, plus the people with superhuman abilities from the flip side. Even with some of the characters (probably the main couple and Carmine primarily), I gradually built up a relationship, and even the romantic element worked for me sometimes. However, the fundamental questions for me to make some kind of final assessment here are - "Did I actually see something that affected me, that will stay with me, that I will remember even a month from now? Was it a series that would make me want to know more about this world and its characters? Does it make me want to watch it again soon?" The answer to most of these questions is "NO," so, despite some undeniably positive aspects, Super Crooks is not going to get more than an average 5.5/10 out of me. ()
