Solid opening. It's too early to make an overall assessment, but it's already clear that the Punisher in the series will be different than the movie one, much more grounded and raw. Bernthal goes at it all in and after five minutes you are already cheering for him The pacing of the first episode is brilliant, crowned by the final ten minutes.

I wouldn't say I was completely disappointed by the first episode, but I wasn't thrilled either. The kind of action I expect from this show was mostly off-screen (like in that opening montage). After that, it was mostly a lot of talking, with the construction site and arcade scenes finally bringing some excitement.
