Horrifying beasts with a hunger for human flesh prey on the citizens of a quiet town. In moonlit twilight, Saya slays the monsters and returns home drenched in blood. As the attacks increase in frequency and intensity, her enemies relay cryptic messages about a broken contract. Limbs are torn from flesh and skulls are crushed and devoured while the huntress struggles with paralyzing visions and gaping holes in her memory. When the humans Saya promised to protect reveal the sickening truth about her role in the violence, she learns her mission isn't as clear cut as she thought - and her most sadistic foe of all is so close she can taste it. anglais Not that I was particularly looking forward to it, but this series is still the disappointment of the year 2011. All the negatives are swirling through my head at the moment and I can't think of anything positive... maybe the length – thankfully only 12 episodes. Or the "person" who occasionally throws something in there and regales us with a question. Saya is an unsympathetic cow with an irritating voice. Her friends, her father, the candy maker, the monsters, it's all useless and there's nothing appealing about it. The series is dominated by censorship. The fights all look the same (plus there's this leveling thing – first the weak one and then the stronger one goes in for the defeat). I don't like the music. Or the drawings. I can't help it, but this character design is completely wrong for the series. It's boring. The story sucks. So does Saya's singing. Sad, and I really liked Blood+ a lot, it was also one of my first anime series. Not fun. A totally yuck series. If, once they wake up, they don't massacre them all, I'll cry. And the dog is ugly, but he has a nice voice (unlike the overly lovable Saya). Addendum: even after episode 12, I'm still disappointed. Saya, Saya, screw the people, why are you saving them? Just chop them all up and then go have tea... ()
