It was nice to return to this world. The child versions of Mike and Sully are still entertaining and the plot about studying isn’t bad. We’ve already seen making fun of nerds, clubs etc. so many times before, but it doesn’t spoil anything in the movie. The “university isn’t really worth it" ending is quite enjoyable and presents kids with the novel message that there’s nothing better than to start from scratch. ()

anglais The 14th Pixar Feature Film The narrative of the first one was so endearingly simple and cute that I was definitely looking forward to the sequel in the form of a prequel, but I wasn't particularly excited about it. So why is that? It's precisely because the people at Pixar turned all the high school drama that's been done a zillion times into such a simple, straightforward joy that the beautiful world of Monsters, Inc. didn't need any more clichés. It is therefore a nice addition to the first film, but the enjoyment of the second remains at the level of bonus materials and other shorts. I'm curious about the series. ()

anglais After Toy Story 3, finally the first Pixar film that I don't have a single complaint about. I mainly disagree with the opinions that it hurts the film that it's a "regular buddy movie" and that we know in advance that Mike and Sully will get together. Well, of course we know that, but what's much more interesting is learning why Mike Wazowski didn't end up as a ghost! After all, from the very beginning, Monsters University shows him as one of the most promising students, who wants to scare and terrify, who prepares himself and almost everything points to his dream coming true despite everything unfair pitted against him. So what happens then? Why will only Sully haunt in the end and not him? That's what I was so interested in - weren't you? I really don't see the slightest flaw in the university. From the animation, which looks extremely realistic in many shots (the university campus, the bus... everything looks real), through a lot of gags, new ghosts (the self-destructive Art is my favorite), the pig chase or the final horror treat for all fans of the genre, to Newman's great music and thankfully very good Czech dubbing.__P.S. The disco ball scene from the trailer is not in the film.__P.P.S. Shame on everyone who left before the end credits. ()

anglais The story, surprisingly, is not bad at all. Although it may seem that the "Monsters" will be robbing themselves, they are still innovative and look at the created world a little differently. However, you will probably still feel that it's not that much fun, that it's not that original. Nevertheless, I think the ending does surprise a bit, it's not a typical dull happy ending, but someone did think about it. That's good. The main asset of the film are the gags and interactions between the different monsters. Humor is definitely not lacking here, but other emotions also emerge. Anger towards the villains, a sense of victory, a sense of defeat, cohesion, sadness from a breakup, joy. There is a lot of it, and that's what an animated film should be like. Entertaining throughout. More information: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2013/07/univerzita-pro-priserky-2013-75.html ()
