Turistas

Ce n'est vraiment ni un film d'horreur ni un slasher, comme cela pourrait sembler à première vue. Stockwell ne travaille pas avec des éléments d'horreur ni de jump scares et aborde Turisti comme un drame réaliste qui effraie le spectateur avec une impitoyable brutalité et insensibilité. Il n'y a pas ici de transcendance intellectuelle, comme on pouvait le trouver dans Délivrance de Boorman, mais nous sommes sur la vague d'un thriller à sensations fortes, avec des acteurs de qualité et un travail soigné sur l'atmosphère et l'environnement. Dommage seulement pour cette conclusion rapide, qui rappelle uniquement un slasher qui n'a besoin d'aucune résolution ni conclusion, se contentant d'un plan sur les survivants s'éloignant de la scène avec un soupir. Well, it could have been a decent massacre with detailed demonstrations of the internal arrangement of human anatomy, but apparently the creators were a bit scared of that and instead put a Brazilian pseudo-moralist in the role of the biggest villain. From his fiery speech, the movie basically stopped entertaining me because, although I am not one of the unfortunate ones who have to wander through life burdened by the immense weight of their movable and immovable property, I am against nationalizing both property and bodily organs. Whether a Marxist-Leninist theorist or a surgeon philosophizes about similar matters, both are ripe for a blow with a blunt object before they move from words to actions. (23/04/2022)
