A Dutch detective drama about a diver's revenge that did well years ago is doing well again today with the same generation of viewers who gravitated to it then. This is another "phenomenon" that passed me by, but it was interesting to have another dose of hits following a different pattern. In the 1990s, the film was a trip to the future, which soon caught up with us, along with all the manifestations of Western consumerism.
