The City Under the Sea

Mysterious gill men kidnap the daughter of the owner of a hotel on the Cornish coast. Mining engineer Ben Harris teams up with an eccentric artist to rescue the girl. They are sucked into a whirlpool and transported to an undersea city, shaken by earthquakes and ruled by a tyrannical sea captain who has been hiding out there since 1803. (Locarno Festival)
