In short: the second season of Locke & Key is much weaker in terms of story, lacks twists and turns that lead you to the next episodes, the plot is not as interesting, the finale is rushed and the cliffhanger is not as effective as in the first season. The first two episodes are lacklustre and impatient viewers may hesitate to continue watching, but once we get past them, the series moves along in its old ways and sometimes has lighter moments, while other times it is filled with duller dross. The result is an inoffensive fantasy teenage affair that doesn't bore that much, but I'm certainly not blown away by it like I was by the first season, in fact it feels rather pointless at times. Fine for fans, and those who weren't excited about the first season can probably skip it. ()
