anglais A B-grade horror film based on a lesser-known literary work by Bram Stoker, written in the spirit of classic gothic romance. Director Ken Russell modernized and adapted it, particularly infusing it with an erotic charge. Thanks to skillful direction, the film is watchable, although the screenplay is confused and frankly quite silly. The attractive cast emphasizes physical allure rather than outstanding acting performances. Overall impression: 50%. ()
