anglais My guilty pleasure. As a director, I like Wolfgang Petersen. Whether its The NeverEnding Story, the raw atmosphere in Das Boot, or this action-packed "American" adventure. I just love Harrison Ford with his unconventional president and action hero in one. And I also love the attractive vicissitudes of the hijacked presidential plane. Nothing more than a classic American "we're the best and they're all at our throats", but it's filmed quite well and watchable. A representative of its genre with everything it should have. I like it! ()

anglais Try to find a wannabe blockbuster with more clichés than Air Force One. Impossible, right? And yet (or maybe because of it), I actually liked it. I’m not going to say anything else about it, it’s one of my biggest guilty pleasures. ()

anglais If we overlook the fact that this story of a heroic president (and former soldier) is very far-fetched and spiced up with a proper dose of patriotism and heroism, it is a relatively high-quality film with exceptionally realistic action scenes. Harrison Ford doesn’t strain himself too much in his role, but Gary Oldman had his rough Russian accent intricately polished – unbelievably so. And it was precisely him who dominated the acting. It is entertaining and thrilling as well, just needs to be taken with a grain of salt. ()

anglais I don't mind American patriotism in other movies (Independence Day, The Patriot, Armageddon...), so why should I mind it here? Harrison Ford is perfect as the heroic president, Gary Oldman is a beautifully cold villain... I think Petersen made a solid action entertainer (even with somewhat realistic-looking aerial scenes) that one has to watch with a bit of detachment to enjoy. Four pure stars, I love this movie. So what? Oh, and the roaring, addictive soundtrack is by the master Goldsmith, so there's nothing to worry about there either. "Get off my plane!" ()
