Charlotte

The beginning of Charlotte was quite interesting. It was also quite amusing and quite cute, and it looked like it would be melancholic at times. In other words, it looked like a complex show that covered a wide range of emotions and certainly would not be boring. However, the second half of the season took off in quite an unpredictable way. By the end, it had become very interesting; the humor had gone in a different direction, it was not as cute, was quite emotional, and at times very sad. So I definitely could not say that Charlotte was boring, and I found the viewing experience quite intense. It has a very well-crafted narrative and has plenty of twists. As far as the characters are concerned, I found some easy to like, which was good for me. The animation is nice, and for example, the use of CGI in the first introduction of the room where the student council meets surprised me, and I thought it looked good, plus it had a decent soundtrack too. Overall, Charlotte is an above-average show; the anime's creators demonstrated they could engage the audience and move them with emotional scenes. The ending is also very good and enjoyable. All in all, I was very pleased with this anime series, and I have nothing to complain about. Therefore, I am awarding it a well-deserved 9/10 because, as my fellow reviewer writes: "there was not that sense of overkill," it could still be ten percent more "cool." (11/07/2015)
