Trickster: Edogawa Ranpo "Šónen tantei-dan" jori

This show concerns a private detective agency solving different cases and people with special powers and abilities - there is literally nothing new under the sun. The "Fiend with Twenty Faces" and Kogoro Akechi have also appeared as characters in several other anime series, so I am already quite familiar with them. There are a few interesting cases and moments (and many more uninteresting scenes) and some existential mystery-solving (with some predictable and not very interesting answers to the questions raised). There are also a few unexpected moments (very few indeed). Ultimately, nothing has any deeper meaning or reason to watch this anime series again. It had potential; however, in the end, it was just an anime series to unsatisfyingly and effectively kill time with. 4.2/10. (10/10/2016)
