I hate to sound like a broken record, but when a show is dubbed "American Horror Story," I anticipate genuine horror. Sure, there's no shortage of blood, guts, and the occasional decapitation here, but to me, that's more suitable for an anatomy lesson than a horror series. The atmosphere is sorely lacking, as if the creators approached it more like one big Easter. There were more resurrections than actual deaths. It's all right as long as the miners don't start piling up in the mine...
