Makoto Kowata est une jeune sorcière de 15 ans. La coutume impose aux sorcières de cet âge de s'éloigner de leur famille pour devenir indépendantes. Makoto quitte donc Yokohama pour partir s'installer dans le nord du Japon, chez de la famille. Là-bas, entourée de ses cousins, Kei et sa petite sœur Chinatsu, elle va entrer au lycée et tenter de devenir une sorcière accomplie. (Crunchyroll)

A very pleasant diversion. It may star a witch, but nothing really happens in the series; we watch her gardening, getting lost in her travels, and eating all sorts of goodies. A slice of life, just spiced up with some magic here and there. But I'd say it's aimed more at men than women; at the very least, I simply didn't expect so many shots of breasts... Somewhere with a witch on a broom. A strong 3 stars.

A girl flies on a broom and pulls a weepy mandrake out of the dirt. All she has to do is start waving a wand around and playing Quidditch, and it should be quite obvious what this show is trying to be. On the other hand, I have to say that Flying Witch is very easy to watch, the animation and its soundtrack are quite pleasant, the characters are quite likable, the magical world it is set in has a lot to offer. The atmosphere is also very good. So it is a respectable show which is relaxing due to its pleasant pace. 7.5/10.
