Another quality drop from the second episode. Hell on Earth is nothing but a silly B-movie. Pinhead and the new Cenobites (not very good, by the way) are finally given enough space, but they’ve also lost all that hellish elegance, so I can’t judge that very positively. The script is pretty awful, it has none of the breathtaking atmosphere of the first and, to some extent, second episodes. The only improvement are the special effects, but not by much and I can’t count that in my evaluation. The second, more action packed half at least compensates for the incredibly boring first half, so I’m giving it two stars, but I’m very wary of the next episodes. My ranking: H1, H5, H2, H7, H3, H4, H6, H8 ()

anglais If the producers had common sense and did not just follow the vision of profit, it would have remained at the first two parts and the viewers would have been spared disappointment. However, this has never worked in the film industry and will not work. The third part lacks a quality script and the atmosphere of the previous parts, there is an increase in violence and pace. It is not a disaster yet, unlike the later parts, but it will not appeal to connoisseurs. However, those satisfied with devilish props can be satisfied. Both dice and demons will be enjoyed to the fullest. Overall impression: 45%. ()

anglais Hellraiser, along with the third film in the series, entered the 1990s as an incredibly shitty version. The plot just keeps going, and Ashley Laurence even has a cameo, but it's basically unwatchable. The new generation of Cenobites arrives after an hour of a soap opera and a very bad episode of 21 Jump Street, and none of them have any real ideas. CD? Cameraman? Come on. The attempt at religious controversy is incredibly lame, as are the dream episodes. No, there's just nothing here. This is the order in which I like the films overall: Hellraiser 8, Hellraiser 5, Hellraiser 4, Hellraiser 7, Hellraiser 2, Hellraiser 6, Hellraiser 1, Hellraiser 3, Hellraiser 9. ()

anglais Within the series, the film "Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth" is a decline and it is definitely the worst out of the first three. There are nice scenes, or rather nice shots - for example, Pinhead's entrance into the church is captivating - but these are individual details that catch the eye, not a whole that can engulf the viewer. The Cenobites no longer have the ability to frighten and depress me as they did before, they are just simply demons who spread death and pain around them. And they can still be defeated by a small little cube. ()
