Des banquets, des bâtards et des obsèques (S01E04)

A wild time-jump. An episode obviously crucial in terms of the future entanglement of the characters, their motivations and decisions, but a high bar for the layman's attention span and readiness to absorb a complex and intricate story viewed from the different sides and perspectives of the main characters. Considering the interaction and the number of characters, it’s looking like there’ll be five seasons. (03/02/2020)

Let me start off by highlighting what didn't quite work for me. The Dryads, and especially Lady Eithné, left me feeling a bit let down — I half-expected Wonder Woman to swoop in from the nearest bushes at any moment. However, I've got to hand it to the creators — they had me worried they'd overlooked a crucial moment with Pavetta, but boy, did they pleasantly surprise me. (15/01/2020)
