Fred Wilson, envoyé par son entreprise en Polynésie près de l'Ile du Crâne, découvre un passager clandestin sur le bateau. Celui-ci évoque l'existence d'un monstre sur l'île. En mer, on recueille Dwan, une jeune femme naufragée. Le groupe débarque sur l'île.
