"Apocalypse L.A." unfortunately falls into the same category as other movies being made in the zombie genre. It is a film that doesn't push the genre forward, but rather keeps it stagnant or even drags it back. The potential set by Romero is abandoned and zombie movies become empty shells, just mainstream entertainment that doesn't offer much to the viewer.
