anglais One of the few old films from Walt Disney's studio that I remember from my childhood. I'm not sure if I haven't seen many of them or simply don't remember them, but "The Jungle Book" stayed in my memory. The scene where Shere Khan first appears is still quite terrifying for me, and with the original sound, the tiger is even complemented by great dubbing. Even after years, this film still has an effect on me. ()

anglais With a very big gap, I had the opportunity to see this childhood treasure of mine again, and I realized that nostalgia is a tricky thing. Even though the tooth of time is much more noticeable on Jungle Book than on, for example, the quarter-century older Bambi, I can't ultimately rate it lower. Probably because of one of the most magical Disney endings. ()

anglais It's a good thing the ever so greedy ravages of time have thankfully left The Jungle Book alone - it's still as lovely fun as it was years ago. Plus, it's very nicely animated, not overwrought, features the catchiest songs from all the "classic" Disney movies, and the lessons about finding yourself are not the least bit awkward. ()
