anglais It could be watchable (the plot is sturdy enough, progress uncompromising and it looks great) if only you could listen to it. Which, I dare say, you can’t. A series where the characters do not speak, but all their communication on principle consists of shouting from the top of their lungs. A series where, from the top of their lungs, the characters bellow abuse, full of pathos. A series where, by bellowing abuse full of pathos from top of their lungs, the characters on principle cry out things that are already patently obvious on the basis of past events. In practice, it’s like this: character A shouts for five minutes about how and why he or she feels like they do (a fact which viewers already know from what they have seen so far) only for character B to pick up on it seamlessly and start a shouting match of touching grief for another five minutes. And even though they both scream away for ten minutes straight they just don’t say anything at all! And on top of all this they all behave like brainless asses, which wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t take itself so deadly seriously... Is anybody still surprised that I was totally on the side of the silent titans and wished they would feast on every single character in the slowest possible way, so that each one of the soppy cry-babies would have to endure at least a remotely similarly devastating torture as the one they subjected me to? anglais A well-deserved phenomenon that in its time upset stagnant waters and reached into every corner of the world. The unprecedented pacing, shocking twists, and love for the central trio of Eren-Mikasa-Armin, as well as for the outstanding secondary characters (Levi, Sasha, and more and more as time went on), resulted in Attack on Titan becoming one of my favorite anime worlds even before I knew it. Such fierce editing, soundtrack, and effects are simply unprecedented, and even with the increasing number of episodes and seasons (though waiting for them is often painfully long), I can't help but marvel at how daringly rational answers are given to the boldest plot questions. I know that the biggest charm now lies in the biggest question mark, that is, the question "How can this possibly end?" However, I would eagerly follow every clue for a good few more years, and I am deeply saddened that this is not possible. ()

anglais I enjoyed the first OP quite a bit (especially the beginning of it, when he's "ranting"), but I skipped the second one without mercy. Unfortunately, I'm probably a bit of a discerning viewer, so I won't be getting drunk on a bun. Much of the time I couldn’t get past the illogicality of the characters' actions. Let alone their whining and sniveling. The storyline was too drawn out; basically nothing much happened, and yet it took 25 episodes, so it felt long and it dragged. The animation is terrible – the characters' eyes often bugged out, not to mention some of the objects and the movement (e.g. horses) or lack of movement (you're riding in a wagon, it's going at tremendous speed, but the cargo in the wagon doesn't bounce much, etc.). It felt almost low budget and “hurry up and get it done", I didn’t enjoy that. Plus, if I were to really factor into the rating that the series ends up not shedding any light on anything, I wouldn't hesitate to give it 1 star. But because I'm kind-hearted through and through, I'll give it two. For me, it was a huge disappointment. Still, it had a few moments that weren't bad, plus some episodes went by really fast. So why see it? Certainly not for the story or the animation. Watch it so you have something to talk about with others from "Foch", just don't get lost in the flood of all kinds of jokes, coupling, and other "creative" stuff that popped up like mushrooms after the rain. Plus, you may turn out to be an undemanding viewer, so you might even like it. ()
