anglais In my opinion, The Courier is not as bad as people say. I liked the fact that the story honors all the rules of the good old rough school of Marlowe and co. and moves forward in that "look for someone, find someone, get/give them something, learn something from them, look for someone again..." way. Jeffrey Dean Morgan was hugely likeable in the lead role, his charming co-star Josie Ho (and their relationship) deserved more space, while Mickey Rourke just can't play normal people anymore and probably won't. Yes, there are some pretty lame scenes in the film (the worst is the cliché walk through the police station), but they are balanced by some good parts, like the opening or the torture in the bathtub, which is on the level of the Coens or Tarantino. I liked the slightly open ending. ()
