This film is interesting mainly because it features a character who can shout "Shazam!". He's not a character that would be well-known at least around here, but on the other hand, he’s quite an interesting character in how peculiar he is. Superman is basically just here as an extra so that Shazam isn't introduced alone. That might not have been necessary to prolong the story.
