Season 1 had a number of weak moments, but I quickly got over them and focused on enjoying the good ones, of which there were thankfully quite a few. The series mixes brutal gore with comedy bordering on farce, bringing in two underground angels, a friendly vampire who’s really into booze and opiates, a preacher with a dark past, and the inhabitants of a small town which I would really hate to find myself in. The season was only slightly above average in my view, but not completely underwhelming either. I'll definitely watch the next one. ()
