Boog and Elliot are back for more crazy adventures. After falling head over hooves in love with Giselle, Elliot's road to the altar takes a slight detour when Mr. Weenie is kidnapped by a group of pampered pets determined to return him to his owners. Boog, Elliot, McSquizzy, Buddy and the rest of the woodland creatures launch a full-scale rescue mission for their sausage-shaped friend and soon find themselves in enemy camp: the world of the pets. Led by a toy poodle named Fifi, the pets do not plan to let Mr. Weenie go without a fight. Can a toy poodle REALLY bring down a 900-pound grizzly bear? Will Elliot ever marry Giselle? anglais "The hunting season" was not a particularly brilliant animation, but here and there it entertains with a few new witty lines, in this case spoken by a deer who has a little trouble with his antlers. Simply put, it's just your typical animated loser, following the example of Sid from "Ice Age". The duo collaboration between the deer and the bear doesn't work at all, the jokes are worn out, pseudo-grotesque, which I don't think will interest children too much, maybe only those who still enjoy watching those cute characters hopping and yelling. Why give the film anything more than that when parents with children will go see it anyway, or at least buy the DVD. Commercialism will eventually kill art, and if not art, then definitely originality. That is already in very short supply.
