Prologue : Une route déserte, au coeur de la nuit. Dans une voiture, deux hommes jouent à se faire peur... Premier épisode : En sortant du bar où il a émis tout haut ses opinions racistes, Bill se retrouve dans la peau d'un juif en France occupée, dans celle d'un noir pourchassé par le Ku Klux Klan... Deuxième épisode : Dans un hospice de vieillards, un certain Mr Bloom réapprend l'enfance aux pensionnaires qui retrouvent leur apparence de jadis... Troisième épisode : Un jeune garçon utilise d'étranges pouvoirs pour retenir prisonnier, dans un univers de dessins animés, un groupe de gens qu'il force à jouer sa famille...
