La jeune princesse Arete vit enfermée dans son château dont elle ne s’échappe que de temps en temps pour se mêler incognito à la population. Un jour, le Roi annonce qu’il donnera sa main au preux chevalier qui ramènera le plus bel artefact magique. Plusieurs prétendants se lancent dans la quête et rapportent leurs tributs au Roi, et vont même jusqu’à faire directement la cour à la princesse, à son grand désarroi. Arrive un sorcier du nom de Boax, à bord d’une machine volante, et convainc le Roi par un tour de magie qu’il sera le mari idéal pour sa fille. La princesse Arete, qui pensait découvrir le monde un jour, ne va que d’une déconvenue à une autre. Arrivera-t’elle à prendre son destin en main ? (All the Anime)

Very briefly - this movie is quite pleasant, relaxing, and interesting. Other reviewers have expressed more which you can read; the question is how demanding you are about the pace of the narrative because if you are looking for something that will fly by, then you are in the wrong place, and if you do not have enough patience, then you are going to get bored. 8/10.

I don't know, for me the slow running, ultimately a slow nothing, doesn’t really appeal to me. Yes, it's melancholic, lyrical, poetic, and I don't know what else, but apparently I picked the wrong time for it, or I'm just not over the poetic. A worse 3 stars because I almost fell asleep to it; the only thing that really caught my attention was the soundtrack.
