La Reine des damnés

Queen of the Damned a l'air trop sérieuse pour être une bêtise. Un vrai héros d'action en manteau de cuir et avec un fusil à canon scié lui irait mieux. Au moins il aurait une cible claire (par exemple, les spectateurs de Dracula 2000). (05/05/2002)

Queen of the Damned is an adaptation of "The Vampire Lestat" and "The Queen of the Damned," which are directly related to "Interview with the Vampire." An adaptation that is updated, modern, and completely independent of the first film. Forget Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Kirsten Dunst. Now it's time for Stuart Townsend, Marguerite Moreau, and Aaliyah. Lestat de Lioncourt has already gone through a drastic evolution in the books, so I personally have no problem with his band ripping off German expressionist films for their videos. ;) The only thing that's really disgusting is the comparison between Antonio Banderas and Matthew Newton. Given the no space given to the extended family, this really wasn't necessary. In hindsight, it wouldn't have been a bad thing if the Rice saga had seen more sequels in this new resolution, but unfortunately, the whole thing has once again stalled on this solitary project. So what's next? My dream series will probably never happen. :( (09/01/2011)
