Indiscrétions (1940)

anglais An amazing movie where two of the greatest actors of their time come together, along with one of the most incredible actresses in the entire history. Grant and Stewart are simply amazing, and the way Jimmy Stewart sometimes speaks, with such cadence, is captivating. Cary Grant is more relaxed this time, but that doesn't matter at all because they complement each other just as wonderfully as Katharine Hepburn complements them. An excellent ride that can always make a person smile.

Blade Runner (1982)

anglais One of the most amazing sci-fi movies that somewhat messes with your mind, because the viewer will most likely think it's a cool action ride. It's not, and that's a good thing. This is the only proper way to translate Dick's philosophical science fiction, because otherwise it would simply be ordinary sci-fi. Harrison Ford is great, but Rutger Hauer is simply unforgettable.

Fantasia (1940)

anglais What surprises about this film is certainly the length, but above all it is the fact that Disney has embarked on such a relatively experimental project. Essentially wordless, only in interludes before each film, film variations on classical music are presented. Today, Disney would definitely not venture into anything similar. It's a pity because even though it's not entirely for today's viewer, the joy of animation and music here is stunning.

Wrong Turn 4 (2011)

anglais "The Scent of Blood 4: Bloody Beginning" is a dreadful sequel which, although it is sometimes nicely bloody, loses its appeal when you see those disgusting digital effects. Not to mention that the same feelings are also evoked by the characters and especially their behavior. Does a slasher really have to be made in a way that everyone is an idiot? Is it really not possible to come up with characters whom you can root for in a movie that makes sense?

Nos étoiles contraires (2014)

anglais Simply beautiful film. I don't have much to criticize about it. Of course, some might find it self-indulgent. I see it as a beautiful celebration of love and life, portrayed brilliantly by the chosen actors. Humans are weak, but they can also be strong, and here we see it in all its aspects, just like the good and nasty people. The strongest part is definitely the events in Amsterdam.

The Duel at Blood Creek (2010)

anglais A comedy about a duel that is not funny at all, which is quite sad. The funniest part is the scene at the end, when the whole thing takes on a slightly different meaning, but on the other hand, I didn't laugh at all here, I rather yawned. Too bad, but I never really found anything interesting about duels. Unless they're in a western, which is not the case here.

Lovely Monster (2011)

anglais It's actually quite boring, but the movie wants to impress mainly with the last scene, which could get you. I don't know, it didn't move me at all. It's a kind of viewer manipulation that didn't turn out well. I don't see anything in it that should captivate me.

Amar (2011)

anglais I know that what is being presented to us here is terribly sad, furthermore, the creators of the documentary decided to go down the path without commentary, deciding that the footage would speak for itself. And indeed, it succeeds in doing so, but this is simply like a sad report, with which no one will do anything anyway.

La Dame du vendredi (1940)

anglais Great shooting of words, which is sometimes unbelievable. Cary Grant is breathtaking as always, but Rosalind Russell is his equal opponent and teammate. In addition, you also watch a story that makes sense and is not just about the romance between them. A perfectly working piece that amazed me with its eloquence. The screenwriters did their job well, but the actors, above all, show how natural such dialogue can be.

Etats de choc (2007)

anglais A very interesting drama that captivates the viewer primarily with its interconnectedness of individual characters and their destinies. It is actually four stories where the main characters influence each other in some way. A bit inconsistent, Bacon's storyline is overly exaggerated and annoying, but otherwise, I think this is a film that can withstand one viewing.
