Lors d'une sombre nuit anglaise du début du XXème siècle, un crime parfait est commis quand un mari assassine sa riche femme avec l'aide de ses serviteurs. Le veuf va alors toucher un héritage conséquent, mais Tabitha, le chat de la victime, témoin de l'événement crapuleux, semble avoir compris les machinations des malfaiteurs. Il faut alors se débarrasser du sinistre animal. (Arcadès)

The Shadow of the Cat is another film from Hammer Studios that definitely did not disappoint. It has something interesting and inventive about it. It's a shame that the film shows its age too much, with the ravages of time evident, as well as the limitations of the technology available at the time of filming. As a gothic horror, however, the film is still worth your attention and shouldn't be overlooked.
