Ordinary Failures

Běžná selhání est un drame relationnel superbement écrit, tourné avec sensibilité et assurance et dont les rôles principaux féminins sont remarquablement interprétés. Il atteint même la sphère des films de genre, ce qui est rare pour la Tchéquie. I would really like to give this a higher score, but I simply can’t. The topic is lucrative and original and you don't see something like this from Czech productions. Unfortunately, the story and the characters are utterly superficial and one-dimensional and it lacks depth and integrity. On the other hand, the acting trio is intriguing: it's just a shame they didn’t they didn't take advantage of their marvelous chemistry. Overall, however, I rate this positively and it certainly is worth watching. I also must sing the praises of the impressive original visuals and the music. (05/11/2022)
