Tomoo Taniguchi mène une vie tranquille auprès de sa femme Kana et de leur jeune fils Minori. Un jour, ce dernier se fait enlever par de mystérieux ravisseurs qui finissent par le relâcher. Un second kidnapping va avoir lieu au domicile familial. Fou de rage, Tomoo poursuit l’assaillant mais l’issue sera terrible : il tue son fils par accident et se découvre doté d’un étrange pouvoir… (Carlotta Films)

"Tetsuo II: Body Hammer" is a film that does not reach the strength of the original film and is somewhat disappointing compared to what Shin'ya Tsukamoto initially brought. It's not a step back, but it's not really a step forward either, more like a stagnation in place that doesn't lead anywhere and remains stuck in what the first film presented. The color of the film definitely doesn't help much. It's simply average.
