Maverick Hong Kong movie-maker Tsui Hark uses the elegant backdrop of Chinese opera to weave a wondrous tale of politics, action and romance. Three of Asia's most luminous leading ladies, Brigitte Lin, Cherie Chung and Sally Yeh light up the screen in this fast-paced action comedy. The Village Voice said of the film that it "out-Spielberg's Spielberg", calling Tsui "the world's wittiest director." (texte officiel du distributeur)

anglais Delightful Asian goofiness with excellent production design and superb, sometimes even artistic performances. For me, it’s definitely good, but still not a film that would excite and captivate me. Nevertheless, Hong Kong creators show that they had - have? - what it takes to make great and entertaining films. ()
