Svatby pana Voka

Simple comedy with a suggestive theme, but modestly filmed due to the time of creation and prevailing circumstances. No impressive filmmaking, a bet on proven production methods with the use of familiar actor faces. At least Kopecký is worth seeing, the role of a Renaissance hedonist suits him perfectly naturally. The impeccable Miloš Kopecký, first-class production design, picturesque cinematography and great historical-film style... I just didn't find the plot to be anything groundbreaking. I wanted to laugh, but apart from Pavel Landovský and Vladimír Brabec, this film didn't give me much opportunity to do so. Or so it seemed to me. It’s really too bad. (20/05/2012)
