Sometimes, an entire life can change in one night. This dark comedic thriller, based on the novel by Chris Bohjalian, stars Kaley Cuoco as Cassie Bowden, a New York-based, globe-trotting flight attendant with a devil-may-care attitude and a history of binge drinking, who relishes flying off at a moment’s notice to her next great adventure. But Cassie’s glamorous world is thrown into a tailspin when she wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened. Haunted by the bleak future she faces if she doesn’t clear her name, Cassie scrambles to put together the pieces of a night in Bangkok gone terribly wrong, leading her down a twisted path filled with unsettling discoveries and more than a few illegal escapades. français La plus grande déception de ces derniers mois du côté des séries. ()

anglais Season 1 – 70% – Just like many series before it, at the moment of its most attentive search, The Flight Attendant annoys the audience by focusing on some absolute banality. Many mysteries surrounding a main heroine unnecessarily often give way to the actions of her colleagues, and watching Megan or her husband at the moment when a question mark is about to come up elsewhere is maddening. However, when the plot revolves around Cassie and her past (whether distant or recent), the tension sometimes makes my head spin, especially when it is accompanied by actors whom I always enjoy seeing. T.R. Knight is a delight, Michelle Gomez is a blast, but the greatest pleasure is watching Kaley Cuoco. She spent her whole career being typecast in sitcoms and then she portrays such a multi-layered woman, whom I want to strangle for a moment and then insanely root for the next. It seems like a shame to continue with a told-out story because it will capitalize exactly on the teaser that worked so well in the end, precisely because the viewer could imagine a lot of their own scenarios. However, for now, I will hold the rating up for this hyperactive combination of thriller and comedy. ()

anglais Drama, mystery, thriller, comedy — it's all here, although the "mystery" aspect leans more towards psychological explorations into the main character's subconscious. While the other genres do make appearances, they're somewhat watered down, so I didn't quite take the plot too seriously. It ended up being a rather undemanding, relaxing show that allowed my brain to switch to autopilot mode. However, this isn't a criticism. Every now and then, I enjoy something that can almost put me in a vegetative state while still entertaining me. The series fulfilled that role perfectly, earning itself a solid three-star rating from me. / Lesson learned: Be considerate and don't die near flight attendants. ()
