anglais Simon West has made his third best film after Con Air and The Expendables 2, this time for China. It has a rather novel idea where they build an amusement park on a former volcano. At first it feels like a prequel to Jurassic World, until the volcano starts raging again. I liked that all the female characters look like models, frankly the prettiest Asian women I've ever seen in my life. The visual effects are like from Hollywood, and the visuals and CGI are of a very high standard, which isn't exactly usual for China. The film is also decently paced, with fireballs of lava flying almost non-stop and the destruction is spectacular. It's not a film I'll ever return to, but there are plenty of disaster films and I'd definitely rank this one among the better ones.
