Jeff Dunham : Beside Himself

It's fine, it's funny, it's well thought out so that the scenes not only build on each other, but also interfere with each other in various ways, and Jeff Dunham is just great. That said... Bubba J. is such a stupid character that I simply can’t give him all five stars. (30/10/2019)

I've only caught snippets of Jeff Dunham on YouTube before, so I was quite curious about his special. It turned out that this wasn't his best performance. Now, I don't want to label it as a failure. It's just that some of his YouTube videos had me laughing more. Achmed seemed a bit held back this time, and Bubba J doesn't really do it for me as a character. Despite the mixed feelings, I still had a good time, and those weaker four stars seem fair. / Lesson learned: You wouldn't believe what can get an adult person laughing. 4*- (24/02/2024)
