Panos was a city doctor. He has just relocated to a remote village in order to offer his services to the ageing community. When he meets the lovely Danae in the forest, despite his being a detached rationalist, it’s love at first sight. The girl suffers from an unusual disorder – a mysterious condition that causes her skin to resemble tree bark. Danae lives in the forest, where she has been exiled by the superstitious villagers. She is trapped. Panos is determined to rescue her, even if his ordered life is totally shattered and he’s forced to question his logical worldview. A mystical debut inspired by Greek and Balkan legends.
