John Carpenter drew inspiration from a similar Italian bloodiness, although to a much greater extent, for his film The Thing, but that one is qualitatively on a different level. Plus, I'm not saying he was inspired by this movie. Alien 2: On Earth is not a great film, but I got what I expected from it, and the cave setting was used quite well. It's cheap, it has its flaws, and there are quite a few of them, but the movie doesn't bore and manages to evoke tension.

OK, on a une jolie grotte et un joli bowling, mais peut-on réaliser un rip-off efficace d'Alien avec ça ? La réponse est claire : pas vraiment. On est en plein dans l'eurotrash et, contrairement à d'autres films-parasites italiens, celui-ci est très faiblard, avec un tas d'absurdités et seulement quelques scènes qui vaudraient le coup d'être vues. La qualité Blu-Ray et les transferts 2K/4K apportent aujourd'hui une véritable valeur ajoutée à ce genre de films.
