After a long time, I decided to watch my favorite series again, and I had two reasons for it. The first one was simple - I missed it. The second reason was that I had finally read the book of the same name by Stephen Ambrose, and I wanted to compare fresh impressions from the source material with the work of the filmmakers. After the first episode, I was absolutely satisfied; the minor differences were understandable, and I would say that thanks to my knowledge of the source material, I enjoyed the episode even more than before.
