Red Dwarf

A cult movie that is impossible to forget. Perhaps with the exception of the last season, each episode in this series is incredibly balanced and contains humor with a capital H. All of the dialogs and cool lines are incredibly chiseled to the finest detail. Just like the characters. Particularly the crew of the Dwarf is indescribably... well, it’s really hard to say in words. But when I’m feeling down, all I have to do is play an episode of this and I’m on cloud nine. Although it took them thirteen years, in the end the Dwarf got a decent new season, that doesn’t just rely on it’s name to find it’s place in the spotlight (that’s right, I’m talking about you, you pesky season nine!). The creators achieved something here that you don’t see very often: a comeback in all its glory that made (and still makes) this legend a legend. For example, I would have no qualms at all about inducting episode two into the dwarf hall of fame. And if season eleven is going to be this high quality, I’ll gladly wait another thirteen years for it. (14/10/2012)

A series safely riding the waves of a light dwarf above average, play it safe when none of the episodes is a letdown, but only one is memorable (as in the previous row, it is the third one). It thus makes us think of the golden age with something other than the prevailing nostalgia like the rest. (09/01/2017)
