Sojuz spasenija

The Russian filmmakers didn't wallow in unnecessary melodrama (not that there was any opportunity for that) and depicted the events without taking sides. They filmed a very decent movie and obviously didn’t carefully weigh every ruble. I liked the costumes (I’ve always been a fan of Napoleonic-era uniforms), the story wasn't boring, and the action was well executed. I have just one quibble. There were too many Russians in the film whose surnames were too long and hard to keep track of. But that’s my fault, I should have kept a spreadsheet. 4*+ (25/10/2021)
