To All the Boys I've Loved Before

All the time I was thinking whether this is a feature film or a TV movie for a Wednesday afternoon, to fill the least lucrative television time. I was thinking about this for the entire duration of the film, failing to come to any conclusions even after it was over. A boring romantic flick. (22/03/2020)

I'm pretty easy. Once I get excited, I just get excited. And also uncritical, because why spoil my joy? After all, this was beautiful. The movie totally managed to take me back to my teenage years, and for that alone it deserves a full score from me. And I'll be sure to watch it again soon. (08/10/2018)

A nicely made little film with a relatively original initial idea, it relies mainly on the endearingly reckless acting of Lana Condor and the likeable performance of Noah Centine. I definitely liked the first half of the film better, as it had a breezy start and a well-paced plot, while the second half slipped a little into the clichés of the genre. Besides that, I had to remind myself at times that this is supposed to be a film set in high school, which was matched by the often annoying behaviour of some of the characters. I give it a strong three stars and can definitely recommend it for viewing – a nice and unpretentious one-off. (27/03/2020)

Everything in this high-school romcom followed a fixed formula, so I wasn’t expecting any surprises, and was ready for a lazy, boring film. To my astonishment, I had a pretty good time, so you could say that this undemanding affair improved my day. Plus, its title is similar to one PvE achievement in WoW. (09/03/2019)
