Résumés(1)

The Doll follows the misadventures of an effete young man who must get married in order to inherit a fortune. He opts to purchase a remarkably lifelike doll and marry it instead, not realizing that the doll is actually the puppet-maker's flesh-and-blood daughter, in disguise. anglais My review is based entirely on the ideas and their implementation. Hermann Thimig was much better in the 1930s. In an era in which, for example, Robert Land returned to the subject, and formally the paper poetics still appeared here and there. ()
