Newlywed Elizabeth (Abbey Lee) arrives with her brilliant scientist husband Henry (Ciaran Hinds) to his magnificent estate, where he wows her with lavish dinners and a dazzling tour of the property. The house staff Claire (Carla Gugino) and Oliver (Matthew Beard) treat her deferentially but she can’t shake the feeling something is off. Henry explains that everything in his world now belongs to her, all is for her to play in - all except for a locked-off room he forbids her from entering. When he goes away for business Elizabeth decides to investigate and finds she may not be who she thinks she is at all. (South by Southwest Film Festival)

Le voyage fascinant à travers le duo femme-fatalisme et les magnifiques intérieurs d'une résidence d'architecte moderne est ici plus fonctionnel que la trame narrative, jouant sur des révélations surprenantes et des allusions (mais vraiment seulement des allusions !) aux thèmes de Blade Runner relatifs à l'identité des androïdes (ici des clones). Même le délice d'Almodóvar La piel que habito était beaucoup plus dense et significatif sur le plan du contenu. En tant qu'amuse-bouche formel - si vous le voyez sur grand écran - c'est cool. Félicitations pour l'utilisation réussie du visage (et du corps) d'Abbey Lee, qui n'est par ailleurs connue que pour son petit rôle dans les franges du mannequinat (The Neon Demon).
