When it comes to The Beatles, I simply cannot be objective, this is a love for a lifetime. Just hearing one of their songs fills me with a pleasant feeling of nostalgia and beautiful enjoyment at the same time. Moreover, this movie is simply a wonderful absurd comedy where the characters were mainly just playing around rather than anything else. And I'm all for it. Plus, it's spy-action. ()
From beginning to end, it's a calculated matter that relies on the starry, phenomenal popularity of the Beatles. The script is simple and essentially silly, the acting performances mediocre, but none of that matters. The film was made for the music, and the script essentially serves as a bridge for a string of songs. After all, why not. A must-see for Beatles fans, an interesting pop-cultural phenomenon and a testament to the time for others. Overall impression: 55%. ()
