Meñique is the tale of a tiny little peasant man desperate to get his family out of poverty. A plague of insects and a meeting with the Magic Mirror will open the door to adventure. The Magic Mirror reveals the woman of his dreams and encourages him to head for the city with his brothers Pedro and Pablo. On the way there, Meñique realises that an enormous enchanted oak tree has plunged the King’s Palace into darkness, leaving it without water. (Atera Films)

I don't necessarily think that animation has to be Pixar-like, but in that case, creators shouldn't try and should come up with something original. This is really awful in some aspects and I didn't enjoy watching it, simply because it didn't look nice. But even that almost Shrek-like story isn't anything groundbreaking.
