I had high hopes for this series, especially with Christina Hendricks on board. However, the pilot episode left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It seemed to lean heavily on clichés – one of the main heroines had to be black, another one's daughter is a lesbian, and all men are pure evil (except for the black guy of course). While it wasn't terrible, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Three stars feels about right.
